Principal's Message:

Dear UPAE Families,

Thank you to everyone who attended our January Parents as Partners meeting.  It was a joy to hear so many people turned out to become informed about our MAP Testing.  It is a test that we value because it gives our teachers a wealth of information and immediate results so that we can apply this data in our classrooms quickly.

One of our goals in the UPA District is to make sure that we are preparing our student to go on to college (90/90) we have accepted this goal and proven this goal with our first graduating class last spring.  As I converse with the class 2021 (kindergartners).  They all tell me that they have dreams of being doctors, lawyers and my favorite, teachers.  We are doing our part to make sure your child is ready and we want you to be ready as well.  In order to help you prepare, we have invited a few financial planners to come and inform us of the things we can do right now to make ourselves ready for our children to attend college.  I hope that you can join us on February 13, 2008 at 5:30-6:30 pm for this important discussion.  If you have a very specific question or concern you would like to see addressed, please complete the attached form and return it to school with your child.
